I’ve been through the airport in Amsterdam numerous times, and yet, had never explored the city. During October, I went to the ‘Venice of the North’ for a weekend, and discovered a city of shimmering reflections and sinuous decorative patterns.

It was just before Denim Days and the city was sporting many shades of indigo.
